How can you pray effectively for your heart's desires? There are three building blocks that you need to remember. It is not hard to remember since it starts with ABC, which stands for Ask, Believe, and Commit.
A lot of people ask God for their needs but do they really know how to ask Him? Do you believe that He will provide your needs? Do you fully commit your prayers to Him?
A lot of people ask God to help them with their financial problems but instead of trusting that God will provide, they focus on their lack of money. Sick people who ask for God's healing hands, think of their illness instead of having faith in God's healing power.
Instead of focusing on your circumstances, focus on thoughts that are in harmony to what you are asking God. Your circumstances are the results of having thoughts that are opposite to what you are praying for.
Learn to expect to get what you ask from God. God can and will grant what you ask Him in His own way and in His own time.
I have two dogs named Martin and Joey. I love them like they are my children. Every morning, after we have played, they follow me when I go to the kitchen and wait for me to give them their food. It is because I have always done it before that they have come to expect me to do it again.
We should be that way with God. God have been providing for us for so many times that it should be natural for us to pray and expect him to hear and answer us.
Learn to pray persistently, not because you'd be able to get what you want, but because it is a way to keep your communication lines with God active. Do not lose hope. Learn to be patient and to keep on praying. Accept it as an opportunity for God to work through you, in you, and with you.
Keep in mind though that wanting something so bad doesn't give you the right to bombard God with your pleas. Learn to let go sometimes and to let God do what is best for you.
In Mark 9:22, the father of a boy who was possessed by a spirit said to Jesus, if you are able to do anything, have pity on us and help us.' Jesus then replied with If you are able!' Trust and believe in God. There are no if' for those who believe.
After you have prayed for what you want, believe that God loves you and will give you what is best for you. He will answer your prayer in His own way and time. There are times that it may not be exactly what you are asking for but believe that his answer is the best one for you even though at first it may not seem that way. Just trust Him a 100% and believe in His wisdom.
The key and essence of faith is trust, Faith is not merely a feeling, it is a decision to believe that God hears and will answer our prayers even though we do not get the answer to out prayers immediately and even if the answer is not exactly what we are asking for. Have faith in the fact that God keeps His promises and that He will never leave us alone.
The last step is to commit your prayer to God. Lift up your prayers to God and give him the power to do as He pleases. It is up to God if He will grant our wish as it is. Trust that if he does not give it to you, then it is not right for you and instead, He will give you what is best for you. Committing your prayer to him also means being patient in waiting for His right time for you.
